PIN punching
Employees tired of wasting time standing in line waiting to punch? With the kiosk PIN punching option, employees can quickly enter their 4 digit PIN to punch in or out.
Mobile app
Use any internet capable device to track time while in the field. For a seamless experience, use our Android or iPhone app.
Biometric time clock
Employees can quickly punch in or out using the facial recognition feature. It takes approximately 8 seconds to complete a punch – a great option for large teams!
QR code punching
If employees are used to scanning a card to punch time, then the QR Code feature may be great for your business. Employees scan their QR Code to quickly punch time or login.
Track billable hours
Assign job codes or locations to employees. When they punch in, you will get the amount of time under each code providing an easy way to determine billable hours.
Shift and job scheduling
With Buddy Punch, shift creation is a breeze. Just click to create and edit or drag and drop to re-assign shifts for the day, week or month.

TRACK SALARIED HOURS USING TIME ENTRIES
If you have salaried employees that you want to track time for, but don’t want them to punch in or out you can use the time entry duration option.
This option allows users to enter their total amount of time worked as opposed to punching in or out. If an employee needs to track time under multiple jobs, they can simply click the Add New button to create an additional time entry line.

Features of Mobile App
Duration Entry
Have salaried employees? Our duration entry feature allows your employees to enter a time duration per day rather than punching in and out. Or they can do both (punching and duration). Setup the feature on a per employee basis.
Time Card Approvals
Our Time Card Approvals feature allows your employees to submit their time cards to their Manager or Administrator for approval. A great way to ensure time cards are accurate before sending to payroll.
Punch Rounding
By using the punch rounding feature, you can set up rules where punches are automatically rounded up, down, or to the nearest based on the minute increment you select. Increments range from 2 minutes to 30 minutes – plenty of options to meet your businesses needs.

Setting up the Kiosk feature (PIN)
Here we’ll explain how to setup the kiosk feature.
If you’d like for your employees to punch time from a browser using a PIN, you can set this up by going to Settings –> Kiosk Settings.
On the kiosk settings page, check the box next to “Enable Kiosk” and select whether you’d like for a picture to be taken when an employee punches time.
You’ll then want to enter PINS for each of your employees and select the “Save” button once done. If by chance you entered a duplicate PIN, our system will let you know when you try to save and will highlight the duplicate pins.
How to use the kiosk feature
Once you’ve got the kiosk feature setup, it can be used by visiting https://app.buddypunch.com from either a mobile/tablet browser or a computer browser.
On the login page, there will be an icon available next to the QR code option as shown below:
You will then be taken to the PIN page. On this page, employees can enter their PIN by clicking the numbers, using a touch screen or by using a keyboard.
If their PIN is accepted, they will be prompted to either click the punch in or out depending on their current status.
Please note: Before being able to use the feature, a user will need to login to their account using their username/password one time. This allows us to determine which account the PINs are associated with. Only one user needs to do this, not every employee.
