When using Buddy Punch as a kiosk, employees can clock in and out using a 4-digit PIN, a QR code, or facial recognition (on iPads only). You can also require employees to take a selfie when they clock in and out to prevent buddy punching (available on any device).

Both on-site and field employees can also clock in and out using their mobile phones. You can set up IP address locks or use geofence time tracking to prevent them from clocking in or out while offsite.

For salaried employees, use duration entry to track time. Employees don’t need to clock in and out; instead, they can simply enter their hours at the end of the day or pay period.

Job costing

Buddy Punch’s job costing time clock makes it easy to track exactly how much time employees spent on specific projects or clients. When employees clock in, they choose the applicable job code from a dropdown list, then you can run reports showing exactly how many labor hours to charge your customers for.

Multi-language interface

Buddy Punch is available in both English and Spanish. When employees open the Buddy Punch app, they can click the flag displayed to switch their default language from English to Spanish. When they do, all labels and text inside of the app will be translated into Spanish for them.
