Meanwhile, Replicon starts at $12/user per month and reaches $19/user per month depending on features desired. Replicon’s price adds up and surpasses Buddy Punch fairly quickly in some cases.

Just one look at the Replicon pricing page shows a stark difference between the philosophy of both tools when it comes to ease of use. Replicon has five different time and attendance packages, nine different project time tracking packages, and four different Polaris packages.

In contrast, Buddy Punch emphasizes simplicity and streamlining, from pricing to usage to the features itself. There are only three main packages to choose from with Buddy Punch. Additionally, you can pay for additional features as an add-on to your chosen plan in an easy-to-understand format.

Buddy Punch was designed with less tech-savvy users in mind. As one testimonial mentions:

On software review site Capterra, Buddy Punch has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 in both the ease of use and customer support category. This contrasts with Repicon, which has a score of 4.4 in ease of use and 4.7 in customer service.

Replicon has a wider range of software integrations

Replicon integrates with a lot of popular tools across various categories, such as collectors (group coordination tools such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Teams), project management, accounting, CRMs, ERPs, HRMS, payroll, and incident management. Overall, Replicon integrates with 47 different tools.

This means that if you have software you’re particularly attached to, it’s more likely that Replicon will integrate with it than Buddy Punch. This will allow some business owners to adopt Replicon into their workflow with minimal changes in their workforce management process.

In terms of creating accounts on each tool, Buddy Punch does not require a unique email address to create accounts for your employees. A single admin email address can be used to create accounts for all employees. Replicon, on the other hand, requires employees to have a unique email address.

Who Replicon is right for vs. who Buddy Punch is right for

If you’re a business with one or two employees on a tight budget, or if you’re particularly attached to one of the software platforms that Replicon integrates with, Replicon may be the better choice for your company. However, in any other situation, you’re most likely better off with Buddy Punch.
