How Photos on Punch works

1. Enable the feature

Visit the webcam settings page to enable the feature. Make it required for everyone, optional, or required only for specific employees.

2. Capture photos

When employees access Buddy Punch on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone, the system will prompt them to take a selfie when clocking in/out.

3. Review photos

View the selfies employees took at any time on your admin dashboard or employees’ timesheets to make sure no one was buddy punching.

GPS tracking

Capture employees’ locations when they clock in and out, then review those locations on their timesheets to make sure they were on site. You can also track their locations in real-time all day.

Geofencing

Prevent employees from clocking in before they arrive at a job site or clocking out after they leave with geofences — virtual, location-based radiuses you create around your worksites.

IP address locks

For office workers, you can use IP address locks rather than geofences. This feature requires employees to be connected to your office’s Wi-Fi network in order to clock in or out.

Facial recognition

Available on Apple devices (iPhones and iPads), Buddy Punch’s facial recognition feature uses FaceID’s technology to validate employees’ identities before they’re allowed to clock in or out.
