Punch Rounding Feature
What is punch rounding? Punch rounding allows you to decide whether punches will be automatically rounded up, down, or to the nearest based on the predetermined interval you select. This can be anywhere from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. This is helpful if you have a large number of people punching in at the same time on the same device or if you want to ensure that your employees are not punching in before their shift starts or out after it ends.
Setup Automatic Punch Rounding Rules
Round “In” Punches
The rounding “in” increment can be set independent from the round “out.”
Round “Out” Punches
You can turn rounding on or off based on “ins” or “outs.”
Give Employees a Grace Period
Do you have a lot of employees punching in or out at the same time from one location? This may take more than a minute for all of them to punch time, so some of them end up punching in or out late. By taking advantage of the punch rounding feature, you can provide your employees with a small grace period to ensure they aren’t penalized for having to wait in a line. Additionally, you can save a significant amount of time by not having to make manual adjustments for those employees that had to wait in line in. In turn, this will save your business money because we all know time = money!

Additionally, you can decide whether or not you want their picture be taken when punching in or out – giving you the flexibility to decide how you want the feature to function. The only equipment needed to use the QR Code feature is either our free iOS or Android app or a webcam.
