Locations Feature
Create locations for employees to punch into.
With our GPS Locations feature you can exert more control over where employees clock in and clock out. Our time clock lets you create as many locations as you would like for assigning to employees. Before employee hours are logged, team members must select the location they’re currently working at. If only one location is assigned, employees will be automatically punched into it – no selection is required. The time spent at every location will be viewable all-in-one on the employee timesheets as well as on your reports.
Create & Assign
Our locations feature allows you to create as many locations as your business needs. Simply assign them to your employees and when they go to punch in they’ll be able to select the location they are working from for that shift. The time spent at each location will show up on their time card as well as in your reports.
Reports by Location
Easily run a report based on a specific location and then export that time to Excel CSV or PDF format. You have the flexibility to run reports on multiple locations if needed. Whatever best fits the needs of your business! Buddy Punch works with an internet connection, so whether employees are on iOS (iPhone or iPad) or Android, they can use the web-based app or the mobile apps for their mobile devices.
Associate Departments With Location
Are you a business owner looking to track Locations and a specific Department or Job Code? Easily associate your Locations with Department Codes that you have created. When an employee goes to punch in, they will be able to select their location as well as the particular job they are working on. Time spent at each location and department code will show up on the employees and be reflected on your reports.
Why Use Time Clock Locations?
When we created Buddy Punch, we wanted it to be a real-time timekeeping solution that completely overhauled systems still relying on physical timesheets to track employees. As we expanded our own workforce size and got feedback from other business owners, we noticed that GPS tracking and location related features were high on the priority list for companies of all sizes. They wanted to be able to have control over employee locations, and needed an employee time clock software that could accommodate them.
Locations are a time clock feature lets you control where your employees are clocking hours from, ensuring they’re actually at the job site when and where they claim to be. Seeing as they get an error notification if they’re not actually present, it allows you to streamline employee monitoring. Either they remedy the situation by going to the right location, or you don’t have to pay for time they’re not actually spending where you need them to be. Either way, it’s a win that allows you to save on labor costs and focus your efforts elsewhere.

Managers
Want to allow management to take more control of their employees are their time cards? Our Managers feature can help you achieve that. Upgrade any employee to a manager and give them either View or Approval access for those that report to them. View allows them to merely view their employees time cards where as Approval access allows managers to make edits to the employees information. You decide how much control you want to give to a manager over their employees.
