Buddy Punch FAQ

The biggest difference between plans are the features that are included.
The Standard plan includes most of our time tracking features. This plan is aimed at small and medium sized businesses, however it can be used by any size business.
The Pro plan includes all of the Standard plan features but adds in scheduling and availability, along with reporting for early/late/absences.
The Premium plan includes all of the Pro plan features but adds in real-time GPS Tracking, GPS Activity Reporting, and a Real-Time Location Dashboard.
The Enterprise plan includes all features including access to our API and Single Sign On (SSO) integrations.

There is a per employee fee and then a base fee each month. This can be paid monthly or annually. If paid annually there is a discount. There are no other setup fees, termination fees, or hidden fees.

You can sign up and use the system and all of the features for free. There is no credit card required for the free trial. If you want to continue after your free trial just add in your credit card information. There are no terms or contracts, cancel any time.

We only count active employees. You control who is active or inactive.
Active employees are able to record time and review their schedule. (terminated employees or seasonal employees can stay in the system as inactive and they will not count against your total)

No, all of our plans are paid after the free trial ends.

We have 3 types of users. They are: Employees, Managers, and Administrators.
Administrators are free users and you can have as many of them as you want under your account. Employees and Managers are paid accounts and will count towards your user total.

Yes! We offer both monthly and annual billing options. The annual billing option is always cheaper. You can upgrade to annual at any time, however once you are on an annual plan you can only switch to monthly once your annual term is up.

At the time of purchase your plan will have a set number of employees. You can remove/deactivate employees and add new ones as long as you stay within your initial purchase number. If you need more you can purchase more for a pro-rated amount, based on your billing cycle.

Your account will be charged or credited based on the percentage of the billing cycle left at the time the plan was changed.

Your Buddy Punch subscription, annual or monthly, will automatically renew until you cancel it. An administrator can cancel their subscription by going to “Settings” in the navigation menu on a desktop computer, then selecting “Billing,” then “Cancel my Account.” After you cancel, you’ll lose all access to prior information and your data will be deleted. Please make sure to download any time information you may need by using the Reporting options.

Your account email will be notified after each failed payment. Payments may be retried up to 4 times within the next month. After this, if the payment did not succeed, your account will be cancelled.

You can change your payment method at any time in your billing settings.

Our refund policy is simple. If you believe you’ve made a mistake signing up for a paid Buddy Punch subscription online, please contact us inside the app or email [email protected]. We’ll be happy to refund you the full amount (not pro-rated) if you cancel your subscription within 72 hours of signing up for monthly billing, or within 30 days of signing up for annual billing.
And if for any reason you’re unhappy with Buddy Punch, please let us know at [email protected] — we’d love to hear your feedback, and will be happy to work with you to create the best experience possible.

We use Stripe to process your payment. It’s the same payment provider used by products such as Twitter, Pinterest, and Lyft. We do not handle your credit card information directly.
